The West Jakarta City Administration Government, Tuesday (9/8), carried out water misting on Jalan Puri Indah Raya and Jalan Pesanggrahan, Kembangan Selatan Urban Village, Kembangan.

This high-pressure water spraying aims to minimize the impact of exposure to volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.

"Today we are spraying water mist to minimize the impact of volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau which erupted some time ago," he said, Tuesday (9/8).
Spraying was deliberately carried out at times when vehicle traffic was not heavy on main routes that are frequently used by residents.
Head of West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, Suheri stated his party deployed two fire pump units, each with a capacity of 10,000 liters of water.
"We hope that this spraying action can reduce dust from volcanic ash and minimize the impact," he hoped.
